Introduction
A repeatable asset is an asset that can be inserted by the user multiple times. This is very useful for large lists of similar data.
The amount of data for a repeatable assets can be large. For that reason you can create filters that select parts of the data in a repeatable assets. You can then insert the filtered repeatable asset as a table in your template.
Prerequisites
- a template
- an asset with the "Repeating" checkbox turned on
- a property of type "numeric"
Instructions to create filters for repeatable assets
Step 1: Open your template in the Domain Manager
- Find your template in the Domain Manager
Step 2: Create or identify an asset that has been made repeatable
Tick the checkbox "Repeating" to make an asset repeatable.
Notice that when you do so the "Create filter" button appears.
Step 3: Create the filter by clicking on "Create filter"
- ensure the property is of type "amount"
- Provide a name for the filter
- Create the filter by setting the filter parameters
Step 4: Find the filter you just created on the left and use the arrow to insert it into your template:
You have now created a filtered repeatable asset.
Good To Know
- You cannot combine within a single filter (yet)
- You can only create filters for numeric properties (amount)
